NSS DAY Celebration - 2019 (District Level)
NSS Day 2019 was celebrated at Shree M. P. Shah Arts & Science College, Surendranagar where more than 300 volunteers participated from various collages of Surendranagar District. In this Celebration, four major programs were organized to increase voter awareness among the people. A rally was organized on the road of Surendranagar where Dr. Pankaj Valvai and Principal Dr. Himmatbhai Bhalodiya started the rally giving a green flag. Thereafter all the students were given the complete information regarding a newly android application called “Voter Helpline” by Dr. Valvai (Deputy Election Officer, Surendranagar). And Shri. Patani (Prant Officer, Wadhwan). Then live demonstration of the website launched by Government of India, NVSP (www.nvsp.in) portal is demonstrated by expert from Election office, Surendranagar. Dr. Valvai requested each of the volunteer to inform/educate in verification process in their family members as well as their nearby surroundings or at least 25 persons. At the end based on the information provided on the Lecture a quiz is hosted based on google form to Support Digital India Campaign. Result was also on live mode so that process can be made transparent and all three winners and their rank were announced at the same time after the quiz in Live Mode on Projector.
